What started off as TouchWiz on Android 2. However, no software is completely perfect. This change may have been done keeping in mind the presence of the camera cutout on the Samsung Galaxy S10, but the change affects all One UI devices, even if they do not have a camera cutout on the top right edge of the device. The method is very straightforward and does not require any complicated settings. In the screenshots, you can www sportybet com app see that the status bar clock has shifted position as soon as the setting was changed.

Developer: Zachary Wander. At its fifth annual Developer Conference held in San Francisco in the first week of November, Samsung unveiled a complete UI overhaul for its smartphones. We have installed the beta version of One UI on our Galaxy Note 9 and our initial impression has been nothing but positive.
The new skin is bringing a lot of positive changes over Experience UI and makes the software feel fresher and lighter. Improved One-Handed Usability With One UI, Samsung is hoping to tackle the biggest problem that is associated with the ever-increasing smartphone sizes, the one-handed usability of the phone. The new UI introduces a fresh look which makes the phone really easy to interact with using only one hand. Basically, the new UI brings a large viewing area at the top and an interaction area on the bottom half.
This has been implemented throughout the native apps. So now, users will be able to interact with the topmost controls with ease.
The best part is that the viewing area disappears once you scroll down the app which basically means that you are not losing any screen real-estate. I also love the fact that Samsung has shifted the interactive buttons from the top to the bottomwhich makes it very easy to interact with them using just one hand. Overall, the new UI is very friendly for one-handed use and I love it. Basically, users can opt to use the gesture navigation instead of the Android buttons.
Once you enable the gesture navigation, you will be able to navigate your smartphone just using gestures.
How to move the status bar clock to the right on Samsung devices running One UI
Samsung implementation of gestures is similar to the ones that we saw in phones from Oppo and Vivo. So, you will swipe up from the bottom left to go back, bottom middle to go home, and bottom right to open the recent apps menu. Similar to buttons, the gestures for going back and invoking recent apps menu are interchangeable. The feature basically allows you to use a microSD card as extended phone memory.
This will allow users to install apps and games on the SD card without any problem. This will be a huge improvement for SD card users. That said, the feature was not working during the beta and we will have to wait for future versions of the skin to see if it works properly or not. Firstly, there are new icons which are way flatter and normal. While the icons still possess a squircle shape and look a bit cartoonish, the new icons are way better than the previous Experience UI icons.
Most of the times these rounded edges look quite cool, however, there are some places where they seem a little overkill. Apart from these small hiccups, I think Samsung has done a great job with design here. One UI is also introducing one of the most user-requested features which is a complete system-wide dark mode, and I love it. Since the dark mode is system-wide, every UI element along with all the native applications support it.
This means you will get a dark notification panel, dark Settings app, dark app drawer, and so forth and so on. Along with the fact that this looks good, it also makes up for really comfortable viewing, especially at night.
Recycle Bin in Gallery One of my favorite features of Google Photos is its trash functionality which keeps the deleted photos saved for a certain period of time. I have accidentally deleted many photos and if not for the Trash feature of Google Photos, I would have lost many important photos. The feature is called Recycle Bin and it basically saves all your deleted photos for 15 days before permanently deleting them.
So, if you happen to delete a photo by mistake, you can easily reclaim it.10 Galaxy S10 Hidden Features (One UI)
Lift to Wake I am still not sure how Samsung took such a long time to introduce this nifty feature but finally it has. One of my favorites is the smart orientation lock feature which gives you a small button at the bottom whenever you try to change the orientation while having the auto-rotate setting off. This makes it very easy to adjust the orientation without having to open the quick settings panel. New Keyboard Features The Samsung keyboard is also getting some cool new features.
As the name suggests, the floating mode makes your keyboard float allowing the user to move it anywhere on the screen. You can even adjust the size and the transparency of the keyboard in floating mode which is pretty cool. The all-new Widgets HD brings back gadgets for Windows With its beautiful material design, your modern desktop will complement it perfectly.

Stay tuned for future updates that will add even more widgets and customization. Widgets are always handy, but this app was rather disappointing. The application itself runs poorly. The main window, where you select the widgets sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't. The calendar widget kept resetting to yearand there's no way to get back to the current year, other than increasing the year by 10 year intervals. If there is an easier way to set the year, they've hidden it very well.
I wanted a desktop weather widget. This app was exactly what I needed. I liked it enough to buy the feature pack which unlocks features like the dark blue theme which became my favorite. I haven't had any problems with stability yet.
Update: Dropping my review from 5 to 3 stars mainly because this app seems to be abandonware. There was so much promise, but some basic features are missing and it appears no one is listening to feedback and improving the product for a long time now. Update: I finally heard from the developers. They're working on a new version for !

No longer can you long-press the gear icon found in Quick Settings until it spins and reveals the hidden settings option.
With Android 9. For the unaware, System UI Tuner let you choose which icons to show in the status bar. For the majority of the icons, you can simply turn it off or on, but there are some additional controls for time and battery. It is a great tool to give you a bit more customization, and it cleans up unnecessary icons which crowd your status bar.
First, you'll need to create a widget using an activity launcher. There are dedicated activity launcher apps, but we've found most of them to be incompatible with Android Pie at this time. So your best bet is to use Nova Launcher, which includes an activity launcher feature. With Nova opened, long-press the home screen and choose "Widgets. Next, tap the widget to launch the menu.
You will be presented with two options, "Status bar" and "Do not disturb. To disable any status bar option, simply turn off the toggle switch next to it. Battery and Time are the only two options without a toggle. Battery opens a popup menu with options on whether to display the battery percentage only during charging or always.
Time will launch a popup menu where you have the option to display not just hours and minutes, but seconds as well. Under "Do not disturb," there is only one option: "Volume buttons shortcut. While System UI Tuner isn't as robust as it once was, it still offers great tools when it comes to customizing your Android experience. Although it has a new method to access, it is still worth unlocking to clean up your status bar and to prevent accidental activation of Do Not Disturb mode.

I tried this and it worked After I got back into the system ui tuner menu, it still has the option to hide the clock but it doesn't seem to matter. The clock is always there.Android 9. Functionality aside, Android's status bar clock has always been on the right, so many people have complained about the iOS-style positioning.
Thanks to the latest updates to Samsung's Good Lock plugin and a useful app from developer Zachary Wanderthough, there are now two ways to move the clock back to where it belongs, and neither require roots. The first method is the easiest and it uses an official app from Samsung called Good Lock.
The Pie-compatible version of this app is still rolling out in some regions, so you may have to sideload it. If you're comfortable with ADB, however, Method 2 below uses a different app that has a lot of extra features you might be interested in. To start, open the Galaxy Store you'll find this app in your app drawer and search for "Good Lock," then tap the top result and hit "Install.
If you're not finding Good Lock, it's likely not available in your region yet. You can sideload the app using the link below. Now, open Good Lock from your app drawer. Towards the middle of the screen, tap "QuickStar," then press "Install" on the following page. Once installed, head back to Good Lock and tap "QuickStar" again. If nothing happens and you get redirected to the QuickStar installation page again, you'll have to sideload the new version from the link below:.
With everything installed, open the QuickStar menu by selecting it from Good Lock's main page. Next, tap the toggle at the top of the screen to enable the plugin, then select "Clock position" and choose "Right. This second method gives you access to several extra features from an app called SystemUI Tuner. Among these are the ability to disable any status bar icon, change notification snooze times, and many others.
But to use this method, you'll need the following:. The ability to move the status bar clock is a new feature in an awesome app called SystemUI Tuner. To get the latest version, start by heading to the app's Play Store page at the link below and installing it.
For the app to be able to alter your status bar clock, it will need elevated privileges. So next, download ADB for your operating system using one of the links below. Once you have the ZIP file, extract it to a location you can access easily. For ADB to work, you'll have to enable a setting on your phone. You'll see a toast message saying "You are now a developer" once successful. Next, back out to the main Settings menu on your phone.
At the bottom, you'll now see the newly-unlocked "Developer Options" menu.
Select this, then scroll down and enable the "USB Debugging" option. For more help with this aspect, refer to our full ADB installation guide. From here, connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable if you haven't already done so.
